The idea of having secrets is an illusion we as people hold onto. The Spiritual World is bigger and more significant than the physical world, but we have from birth been trained to not recognise or appreciate that nothing is hidden in the Spiritual World.
The bible verses below speak a truth that we all should understand and embrace, to live life the way our Lord Jesus wants us to live.
Mark 4
21 And He said to them, “Is the lamp brought in to be put under a peck measure or under a bed, and not to be put on the lampstand?”
22 [Things are hidden temporarily only as a means to revelation.] For there is nothing hidden except to be revealed, nor is anything [temporarily] kept secret except in order that it may be made known.
23 If any man has ears to hear, let him be listening and let him perceive and comprehend.
To God and His ministering spirits, everything is visible at all times. The same is also visible to the devil and the spirits of darkness.
So, focusing on improper secrets — the fact that they are not immediately exposed is often an opportunity granted us by the grace of God. Sometimes it is so we can end the circumstances for them to exist. Sometimes so we can expose the secrets ourselves. Sometimes so we can repent.
Every secret is a vulnerability that our enemy, the devil, can exploit. He can use it to harm us by timely exposure for maximum damage.
Any inappropriate secret can do us damage in the hands of the one who wants to steal, kill, and destroy us.
So why would we want that hanging over us ever, brothers and sisters?
