Faith is not fake it till you make it. Faith , as mentioned in Hebrews is something that can be touched and felt. In this world it’s not tangible but we can see it , there is a real undeniable evidence that in the unseen world (the spiritual world )it is a real place. Faith is a proof, its evidence, its not something that you fake, it can be seen and felt in both realms the heavens and the earth.
Faith is an image presented in this world, a reflection of the faith which is an actual physical location in the unseen world. Because faith does not start on earth and is an image presented because of a light that comes from heaven, there is a standard on how the image should look like , the image is either perfect or imperfect. So God, you and everyone else can see this image ,it is either a perfect image or it is obscured , blurry and dark. How perfect the image is rendered depends on the light that hits the mirror. The mirror being our heart.

If the perfect amount of light hits the mirror, it reflects the perfect image. The perfect image in this case is Jesus Christ. Therefore knowing this, our next endeavor is to make sure we have the right amount of light that hits our hearts(the mirror) so that a perfect image can be formed. If our eyes don’t have this perfect amount of light, when the rays of the light hits the mirror the image is obscured, the mirror will not show the correct image.
So how do we get the perfect light? Jesus says I’m the light of the world (John 8:12)
” I’ am the light of the world, if you follow me, you won’t have to walk in darkness, because you will have the light that leads to life.”
The Holy Spirit suggests if we let our eyes shine by beholding the light of Christ, when the rays hit the mirror, they will reflect the perfect image of Christ our hearts(the mirror). The next earnest question at this point is a cry of help to God saying “Lord please show me your light, open my eyes and let me see.”
Many men in the bible when they reached this juncture recognized that they don’t have enough light in their eyes to render the perfect image required by God. They saw their insufficiencies and in fear of being found lacking ran to God. Moses in Exodus 33:18 makes the plea :
“Then show me your goodness.”
When Elisha’s servant was afraid(2 King’s 6 :17 -18), Elisha asks the Lord please open his eyes, and when his eyes were opened fear left him because he saw the chariots of fire with them , in that moment he beheld the glory of God’s might. Our eyes of the heart are enlightened by one of two ways:
- Hearing the word of God which reveals his glory and his excellence.
- Having our spiritual eyes opened to behold the glory and excellence of God.
To see the perfect image we should have either one of these things, if we don’t have at least one , we are filled with darkness. This makes a revelation of God’s glory and excellence , the main thing that man should seek. At this point the reader should know that Jesus is the glory and excellence of God, so he is the light we seek. Jesus says in Matthew 6 :33
“Seek the Kingdom of God above all else and live righteously and he will give you everything you need.”
Seek a revelation of God , of his glory and excellence, so that your eyes may be captivated by the full light of Christ, when you have that revelation then your heart will render the perfect image of Christ. Hebrews 11 lists men and women who found this light. It is this light that perfects the faith needed to :
- kill giants.
- Sacrifice your miracle son.
- Confront the King of Egypt.
- Face an army 10 times stronger than yours.
- Built a boat in a world where rain has never fallen.
- Move to a country you have never been in.
The bible is also full of men who did not have this light. Seek the revelation of God’s glory and excellence when a man sees this he can’t fall. Eve did not have it that’s why she fell, Saul lost it and he fell . You don’t feed on it once and look away. You must always look upon his glory and excellence. Always never looking away not once. Once you look away , you fall , that’s what happened to Peter he just took his eyes off Jesus and before he knew it he fell.
The next question is how do we consistently behold his glory and excellence? The answer is simple, by consistently asking, seeking, knocking. That’s the act of prayer. The bible supports this pray without ceasing. Men ought always to pray. It seems prayer is the only way to behold his glory. Seeking by reading the bible, knocking by worshipping. A man that does not pray will not have the light and without the light you cannot render the perfect image of Christ. The reader is convinced true eternal bliss is only for those that when the day of the Lord comes, will render the image of Christ on the image of their hearts. So lets seek the light , that is our armour!
